I just got my Jake Intimidator. Do you have any first time setup tricks?
Yes, we recommend using a hair dryer to straighten out the tail. If ones not available, resting a heavy object ontop of the flattened tail on a level surface works great too.

Can you use a hen decoy when setting up Jake Intimidator?

Yes, we put the hen decoy on the ground in front of the Jake Intimidator. That way it looks like she is ready to mate.

Why do Tom turkey’s hang-up while using a standard motion-less decoy?
Remember that in Nature the hen turkey is supposed to go to the Tom turkey. That’s why standard decoys don’t work all the time, but we have found that when that Tom hangs up, pull up Jake Intimidator it makes him mad when he sees a Jake next to his hen turkey.
